Jimmy Dawkins and his band drove from Chicago to perform at our "Thursday Blues Party." They got there early and visited with fans who saw Jimmy 30 years ago at the Ann Arbor Blues & Jazz festival. They put on a great performance to a cheering blues crowd all night, and did a tribute to John Lee Hooker, who had just passed away a few days before. Other members in the band were billy Flinn on guitar, Willie Black on bass and Jimi Schutte on drums.
